Manual Therapy and Manipulation

Manual therapy is a therapy applied by hands. It is to bring dislocations, semi-dislocations and all displacements in the spine and joints to their normal anatomic position with some special exercises and maneuvers within physiological limits. Interventions to the spine and peripheral joints are called manipulation. Manual therapy is often used to treat skeletal and muscular system problems related to muscle, bone, joint and connective tissue. Anatomical, biomechanical and neurophysiological evaluation of the locomotor system should be evaluated for effective and safe implementation of manual therapy.
