What is Vertigo?

Vertigo is a common health problem that negatively affects the lives of many people today and manifests itself especially with sudden attacks of dizziness. This condition, which will seriously reduce the quality of life, may cause even daily tasks to become difficult due to the balance problems it causes. We support our patients who are looking for ways to cope with this disorder by providing information about understanding vertigo and correct treatment methods. In the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation sector, we offer a range of treatment methods to relieve vertigo symptoms.

Causes and Symptoms of Vertigo
Vertigo can be caused by many different reasons, especially problems in the inner ear. Disorders such as positional paroxysmal benign vertigo (PPBV), Meniere's disease and vestibular neuritis are among the most common inner ear disorders. Symptoms of vertigo include imbalance, nausea, vomiting, a spinning sensation when lying or sitting, and in some severe cases, additional symptoms such as hearing loss may also be observed. After making the correct diagnosis through various tests and evaluations, we provide transition to effective treatment methods.

Modern Treatment Approaches
Vertigo treatment must be individually tailored and usually ranges from medication to correct the problem in the inner ear to physical therapies to help improve balance. At our center, we implement evidence-based treatment plans to manage vertigo symptoms. Positional therapies, such as the Epley Maneuver, which helps move the crystals into the correct position within the ear, play an important role in reducing symptoms. Additionally, vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) includes a series of exercises and techniques designed to help individuals strengthen their balance systems and return to their daily lives.

Lifestyle Changes and Supportive Treatments
In the treatment of vertigo, it is important not only medical interventions but also lifestyle changes for patients. Steps such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, learning stress management techniques and avoiding dehydration can be effective. We offer counseling and support to help our patients adopt and maintain lifestyle changes. We can also provide guidance for patients who prefer alternative treatment methods such as acupuncture and acupressure.

Expert Team and Contemporary Treatment Environment
We aim to keep patient satisfaction at the highest level with our expert physiotherapists and modern treatment environment. In order to achieve successful results in vertigo treatment, our primary goal is to choose the best treatment method suitable for the individual's condition and design a personalized rehabilitation program. We aim to best respond to each patient's needs by using the most up-to-date treatment equipment and technologies in our clinical environment.
